When Nibbles was adopted from the Cat Welfare Society and moved into her new home, she became the Queen of the premises. Her owners did everything in their power to make her life comfortable and enjoyable and she soon took complete ownership of the flat. But six months later, her owners decided to adopt another cat to keep Nibbles company during the day when both of them were at work. When they brought back little Scotty and introduced him to Nibbles, things didn't go as planned! Nibbles just attacked him and made it clear she was not going to tolerate him on her territory. After many attempts, the owners had no other alternative than keep the two cats separate, with Scotty in the safety of the spare bedroom.
When I was called in, poor little Scotty was a very scared kitten, running to hide the minute the door to the spare bedroom was opened.

Fortunately, Scotty and Nibbles' owners were determined to keep their two cats and were ready to follow my instructions to the letter. Keeping in touch with me through daily videos, they slowly reintroduced the two cats to each other, with plenty of "good feelings" moments until one night, I visited and we let the two cats out together in the living room. This was the end of the "Troubles" and since then Nibbles and Scotty have been sharing their territory and living in peace. Of course, Nibbles will remain the Dominant cat of the household, the Captain and Scotty knows he is only the "First Mate", but their owners can now enjoy peace of mind at home and away from home! |
